SCISSETT MIDDLE SCHOOL

Having a large external space is excellent for outdoor education, however it often leads to safeguarding issues with dog walkers and trespassers short-cutting through school grounds. Scissett Middle School had such an issue, turning to Stratus9 for a solution to deal with litter, out of control dogs interrupting educational activities, fly-tipping, trespassers seeking short cuts and the health and safety risks associated with dog fouling. The safeguarding and welfare of its pupils and staff is Scissett Middle Schools’ number one priority, and being able to provide an uninterrupted and safe outdoor education is fundamental to the school and local community. The whole school field is now enclosed by the highest quality Heras security fencing and backed up with approved CCTV to help prevent trespassing and other crimes such as fly-tipping. This has been a welcome addition to the school, who now no longer have to worry about excessive littering, trespassers and dogs interrupting outdoor education. The Staff can work uninterrupted, and students can learn and play in a safe and clean environment.
